We've Overridden the Governor's Veto of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future!

The Maryland Education Coalition (MEC) thanks the Maryland General Assembly members who supported the override of the Governor's veto of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future.

MEC also thanks our many partners, friends, thousands of other educators, parents, students, and community members who worked to make this a success.

MEC also thanks the Maryland Congressional Delegation members that supported the federal package of stimulus bills that allowed the General Assembly additional flexibility to more adequately and equitably fund public education, health, and other community services impacted by the pandemic so Maryland can begin to reopen and recover economically, educationally, and physically. The total amount allocated for public education in Maryland is an estimated $3.2 billion! *
